Updates to rooms/dialogue, and most important, combat!



Hello! Honestly it took me probably just as long to make this new game content as it did to actually record and upload it because for some reason my screen recorder has been making my computer/game lag. So this video is not the best quality, but I don't want to drag my feet forever on updates!

I have moved where the Cipher Wheel is unlocked so it is now much easier to find. This makes the puzzles later on, you know, actually solvable compared to without the wheel. In the place of the old dialogue unlocking it, I have put a new dialogue that can give you a little stat boost. 

Now, on to the exciting part! Beyond balancing the combat stats, I've begun to start refining the combat itself. First, I have added enemy knockback. Small, but important place to begin! Next, I've fixed up Jyl's block attack a bit to make it more user-friendly. Now, as long as there is at least one enemy within a 360 pixel radius around Rina, he will target the closest enemy head-on instead of you having to aim him. If there is no enemy in range, he'll default to blocking in front of Rina. Also, when blocking, it's the impact of Jyl teleporting into them that hurts them, so enemies that collide with him after the initial impact will not be hurt and will just ignore him. So you'll still have to time and pay attention to where enemies are around Rina. Finally, I added some little Will sparkles when an enemy is killed to better communicate that your Will has been partially restored because of it. I think it's a good foundation for the rest of the game, so I'll keep working on it until it's great!
