Some examples of sound I've been working on


It's been too long but I've been chugging away at work this whole time and just got to a point where I wasn't sure how to summarize everything. :') I've mainly been focusing on sound design this past week but I've also been hunting down a lot of bugs and fixing the code up! I know I do that a lot but when you got spaghetti code skills like me it takes a lot of effort to realize boneheaded choices you made before and change them. On the plus side, all the more experience moving forward! I've pretty much gotten all the sound effects in the game, the only ones I'm missing are enemy noises. Then, I have to finish up all the voice acting as some of the characters are noticeably missing still. And for some reason, some of the first voice lines are dropped and don't play, so I got some tinkering to do with that.

Last thing of note is that I finally implemented the last touches on boss battles, including a little instructions window to explain how they work. Most of the bug fixes were for the boss battle, it kept breaking whenever I paused and unpaused it but now it works as intended! Because the phases are triggered by different times in the song as well as the level of health the boss is at, I made sure to avoid exploits by just having the music play when the game is unpaused. Otherwise you could have just skipped the whole thing by pausing and waiting for the song to end lol. Anyways! Back to work. I'll be adding more sounds and redoing some more art for the next update! (Which will be much sooner than over a week away haha).
