After the credits roll (or if you skip them like a meanie), you will have the option to save your progress for the next episode, which will carry over all of your in-game stats as well as save which optional story elements took place or not in this episode. So, you will no longer be allowed to save in/access the first Temple room in Episode 1, the latest save you will be able to access is right before the boss fight. I'm really proud of this new save system and it seems to work just as intended, so fingers crossed it works properly as I continue to test!
